All Dive Paradise trips include tanks, weights and belt, bottled soft drinks and purified drinking water. We put you in the care of one of our certified, in-water Divemaster guides whose primary duties are to lead you and your group on safe, pleasurable dives. The maximum depth on your first dive is usually 60-90 feet and limited to 30-60 feet on your second dive of our 2-tank trips. Children under the age of 10 are not allowed on dive trips. Posted trip prices do not include a 20 peso usage fee (about US$2), per day, for anyone taking part in water activities inside the National Marine Park (where most of our dive sites are located). This fee must be paid in cash, for all scheduled days of diving, during check-in with Dive Paradise. Before diving with us you must complete a "Diver's Information Sheet" which is available in our main office or can be downloaded below: Diver's Information Sheet (PDF format) All Dive Paradise boats deployed for "Caribbean" trips are equipped with a sundeck and a full sized head (bathroom, loo, bano or potty for those of you who speak other than "boat" language!). Low gunnels facilitate easy giant stride entries. All but the Tombo have convenient platforms making getting out of the water just as easy as getting in. Your Captain and/or boathand will help you and your group up a sturdy, fixed ladder on Tombo after you've completed your dives. A Certification card or "C-Card" is required for each diver taking a Dive Paradise boat trip. The ONLY exception is made for a group which has exclusive use of the boat, and the certifying Instructor is aboard and is responsible for his/her students. Computer Use - Dive Paradise is proud to be a PADI training facility and as such, we follow the PADI Recreational Dive Planner (tables) on all but special computer run trips. Because we do all of our diving in Cozumel in "Divemaster escorted groups," dive computers cannot be used as a primary dive planning tool for the purpose of planning the group's maximum depth and maximum bottom time. Exceptions can be made if the entire boat has and is experienced in the use of dive computers for increased bottom time. You must make arrangements with the dive master on boarding the boat. Nitrox is available at an additional US$10.00 per tank. You must provide proof of Nitrox training. Re-compression Services We ae affiliated with the Meditur Hyperbaric chamber facility. The chamber is located on Calle 6 Norte (6th Street North) #135, between 5th Ave. and 10th Ave., and is connected with the hospital "Clinica San Miguel". Dr Pascual Piccolo is the presiding hyperbaric physician and general practitioner. All divers are advised to have DAN insurance when they travel to Cozumel. Dive Assure and PADI are also recognized. If have any questions regarding the chamber or insurance coverage, feel free to contact us. On our "Caribbean" Boat trips, the ride to your first dive site will take from 45 minutes to 1½ hours. Relax and enjoy the ride. Your divemaster-guide will assign tanks 20 minutes before reaching the dive site, to allow you plenty of time for gearing up. Remember, our divemasters are there to help you. Please don't hesitate to ask questions, discuss pre-dive anxieties, or arrange to have extra gear such a U/W cameras and dive lights passed down to you once you are in the water. If you are a novice or inexperienced at ocean diving, please inform your divemaster. We also recommend, if you have not been diving in awhile, our 2-4 hour "Scuba Refresher" Course. Experience and Skill - Our "native" dive masters are some of the best and most experienced on the island. We are committed to making your diving adventures as exciting as possible, keeping your safety as our #1 concern. Large Fleet - We have the largest fleet of boats (see boats) guaranteeing that we are not going to cancel your trip or leave you stranded if a problem occurs. Convenience - Dive Paradise boats pick up and leave clients at almost all hotel docks from Hotel Barracuda to the south (weather permitting). We also have maintain onsite dive shops and training facilities at several of the major hotels on the island. Flexibility - We offer a wider variety of dive charters allowing you to custom design your dive package to suit your needs and desires. Dive Paradise can take you to numerous sites that many other operators cannot deal with effectively. Feel free to contact us with special group requests! Small Group Sizes - At Dive Paradise we believe that one of the best ways to make your dive trips as safe and enjoyable as possible is to limit the group size on our boats. We don't run "cattleboats". We have enough boats and divemasters, we don't have to! Morning "Caribbean" 2-Tank Trip - Enjoy this comfortable, relaxing way to dive Cozumel. Our 5 flagship boats - the Aries, Sagitario, Paradise Diver, Tango and Atlantis - were built to carry up to 24+ divers. Except when requested for special group charters, the guaranteed maximum we put on them is 16 divers. If a group size surpasses 12 divers, we split into 2 groups and send an extra Divemaster. Our midsized boats - the Tombo, Calypso and Renegado - comfortably carry a maximum of 14 divers. There is always plenty of room to spread out and organize your gear. Enjoy snacks and water provided during surface interval. Optional 3rd tank at merely $15 for guests of select hotels. Departs 8:30AM to 1:00 or 2:00PM daily (US$64). Custom "AM Express" or "PM Express" 2-Tank Trips - You and your group will experience the same level of diving safety and enjoyment on one of our fast boat trips as you would on a "Caribbean" trip. However, a fast boat "Express" trip enables you to dive with an even smaller group of people on your boat (6-7 divers maximum). Cruising along the island at 25 mph on our fleet of fast boats, the John-Y, Queen Angel, Ana Luz and Lupita is almost as exciting as the diving. Scheduled 8:30AM - 12:30PM daily (US$70) or 1:00PM - 5:00PM daily (US$60). Afternoon 1-Tank Trip - For those who are really serious about getting the most of their diving vacation, this is the perfect "add on" to either our "Caribbean" Trip or "AM Express" Trip. A 3:00 PM departure gets you back on the reef after everyone else has completed their diving. Since the emphasis is on more but safe bottom time, these dives are always shallow, usually 60 feet or less. Scheduled 3:00PM - 5:00PM daily (US$33). Special Twilight "Caribbean" 2-Tank Trip - "A truly wonderful diving experience," says Mark Schneider of National Geographic Magazine. We're sure you'll agree! A 3:00 PM departure takes you on an afternoon dive after most other divers have finished for the day. Enjoy your surface interval watching the sun set over the Yucatan, then bring out your flashlights (not supplied) to enjoy the Cozumel night life you won't find at Carlos 'n Charlie's! Fresh fruit snack is included. Departure time varies with the season and size/type of boat. (US$70) Minimum 4 divers required. Night 1-Tank Trip - Experience the incredible world of Cozumel after dark. Depart just after sunset and dive Paradise, Chancanab, or Yucab Reef. Dive light required and may be rented from Dive Paradise if needed. If you have never tried this before, it is an exciting experience! Departs daily at dusk. (US$38) Minimum 4 divers required. Special E.D.P. /Computer 2-Tank Trip - To take advantage of our Dive Paradise Experienced Diver Program, divers must have logged at least 50 dives and have good air consumption and buoyancy control. Each diver must also have a computer and be proficient in its use. We make no exceptions. These trips take you to Cozumel's most exciting and challenging dive sites. Computers may be rented from Dive Paradise if needed. Scheduled 8:30AM - 12:30PM or 1:00PM - 5:00PM daily (US$78) Minimum 4 divers required. Special "Cock-A-Doodle Dive" 3-Tank Trip - If you would truly love to dive the reefs and see them as you never have before, you won't miss a Dive Paradise exclusive - Cock-A-Doodle Dive. A 6:00 AM departure speeds you on your way to the first of 3 marvelous dives. Your dives are timed to put you on 3 reefs before the crowds arrive. A fresh fruit snack is included. To participate, divers must use a dive computer, demonstrate a minimum of 50 logged dives, and make a reservation at least 24 hours in advance. Scheduled 6:00AM - 1:00PM or 2:00PM daily (US$98) Minimum 4 divers required. Special Guide Service - This service is good for the diver who has just been certified, or has been out of the sport for a while, or for any reason just feels jittery about their upcoming Cozumel dive vacation. This is available for 1 or 2 divers maximum in addition to the dive trip charges. Utilizing this service, you won't have to worry about "keeping up with the group." You will have your very own in-water Divemaster/lifeguard to introduce you to Cozumel's unique drift diving techniques, thus assuring you of a pleasurable experience. (US$37). Non-Divers Riding on any Boats - Non-divers may ride along with you while diving. For safety, children under the age of 12 are discouraged from riding on the boats. (US$30). (If part of large group - inquire) Other Special Dive Trips - Ask us for more information about any of the following Dive Paradise special dive trips: 2-Tank Night Dive, 1-Tank EDP Night Trip, Private Charter Dive Trip and Combination Deep Sea Fishing/Dive Trip. (Advance arrangements are necessary) Special Promotional 3-Tank Boat Diving Days! - All divers prebooked on Dive Paradise morning "Caribbean" 2-tank Boat Trips and staying at one of the following hotels can book onto an afternoon 1-tank trip for an additional $15 per day of boat diving. That's a US$18 savings over our retail rate. This special offer applies only to guest divers staying at the Barracuda, Hotel Villablanca or the Hotel Cozumel & Resort and must be confirmed and paid for in Cozumel. Note: All three boat dives cannot be done on a single trip. (Based on availability) Note: All rates include 10% Mexican tax and 5% "water related activities" luxury tax.
